Fitness Motivation – 10 Ultimate (Not Only) Fall Tips

Fall is already here! Fitness motivation is needed throughout the year, but if you feel like you need it right now, during those rainy cold days, dive into our new blog post!

Motivation

I truly believe having the right mindset and knowing the reason why you’re doing what you’re doing is crucial to get the results you want.

Leverage the possibility of the internet and create your own motivation board on Pinterest (and don’t forget to share with me, I would love to see it!). Or you can just stick with the traditional physical motivation board and place it somewhere visible for your eyes so when you feel like you are losing your motivation, you can just quickly glance at your board and pump up that desire again!

I’ve also created a whole blog post focused on how to stay on track and what helps me personally to stay motivated.

Set Goals

Setting realistic and achievable goals will allow you to progress to longer-term goals. It can be something simple like ”I will exercise every day for 20 minutes”.

I also recommend mobile apps that help people to stay on track towards their goals.

I personally use HabitBull, it’s just so easy and user-friendly!

You can also use the template I have created!

Healthy Food

Keep your kitchen well stocked with unprocessed, whole foods that are quick and easy to munch on. Cut-up veggies, fruit, olive oil, coconut oil, and nuts are all great options.

Always know what you need before you go shopping to avoid unnecessary and unhealthy food.

Recovery

So you’re motivated, energized and determined but….hold on…I know you wanna reach your goals in the shortest time possible but your body needs some recovery too! We’ re not machines and neither our body is. Plus overdoing exercise might damage muscle tissues and cause injuries. It’s always important to alternate muscle groups or body parts in your exercise sessions.

Treat it with respect and love.

Moderation

You don’t have to be 100%. You want to enjoy your life so if you indulge once in a while with your diet or skip a workout diet, that’s fine.  Just make sure to keep your goals in mind each day. If you do veer off course, don’t beat yourself up over it. Simply make better choices at your next meal or try the 80:20 rule (eating right 80 percent of the time and being more lenient for the other 20).

Fruit for dessert

If you have a sweet tooth go for fruit instead of chocolate and candies. A piece of whole fruit provides vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants without an overload of sugar. And some of the fruits can provide solid hydration as well.

3 ”C”

Commitment, Convenience, Consistency

Adopt these three strategies into your lifestyle to help you stay active, exercise, and eat right for good.

I know how annoying it can be if your gym is too far away. So simply choose one that you like and is close to your place or just do some workouts at home. Working out at home doesn’t have to be ineffective and boring. Add fitness accessories like hip resistance bands, kettlebells or dumbells and enjoy your exercise and the comfort of your home at the same time.

Choose the right snacks

Rather than letting unhealthy snacks sabotage your diet, keep healthy snacks like apples, almonds, whey protein powder, hummus, and carrots handy. Focus on what you should be eating, instead of what you shouldn’t and eat regularly throughout the day.

Sleep

Not having enough sleep isn’t good not only for your mood but overall health. And did you know it’s also strongly linked to weight gain and fatigue? I believe you’re here to feel great, confident and healthy and exercise, diet, and sleep are the top 3 things that you have to prioritize in your life to be able to reach your goals. Not only those ”hot body” related.
