Happy Monday girl! How was your weekend?
Monday is a great day to start. Whether you want to tone up your body or try new non-fitness related things you had on your mind for a long time.
Today, I want to share my favorite fitness pieces of equipment you can easily store at home and use when your kids are at school, and you have some spare time for yourself, and you prefer to work out at home instead of going to a gym. I get it. Not everyone wants to join the gym or have time to do so. The big misconception is you have to join it if you want to build your muscles. And, I want to tell you, it doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself on your muscle building journey. You can still tone up your body at home with these simple yet effective and powerful fitness accessories.
Here are my 7 Must-Have Equipment Pieces To Tone Up You Body At Home:
Hip Resistance Bands
Hip Resistance Bands also known as Booty bands are perfect tools for glutes activation. Using hip resistance bands can take your stability, mobility, and strength to a whole new level as they tend to support your muscle stamina and flexibility while enhancing your blood circulation and your body posture. They offer a safe alternative in comparison to the machines in the gym and you will definitely feel not only your lower but also the upper part of your body. I’ve written the benefits and features of the bands in this article so check that out if you want to know more.
Core Sliders are becoming very popular. These lightweight circular plates are perfect for fun and challenging full-body workouts. The Sliders introduce a balance and stability challenge to every movement, which forces you to engage your core muscles and results in your abdominals becoming stronger. They are usually made from different materials on each side which makes them super convenient – you can use them on different surfaces.
KettleBells are well known for the range of exercises you can use them for. The most popular are swings, deadlifts, squats, get-ups, and snatches to work out many muscle groups and body parts including biceps, shoulders, legs, and more. They come in different weights so they are perfect for everyone, whether you are a beginner or advanced.
When the exercises you are doing at home are getting easy it’s time to add some weight! Ankle Straps are perfect to enhance your workouts to the next level and reach your goals faster. The ankle cuffs are compatible with standard cable systems, resistance trainers, functional trainers, and more; great for leg extensions, leg curls, hip abductors and all your favorite leg day routines.
Mini loop resistance bands
Mini loop resistance bands are similar to hip resistance bands with the difference in material (they are made of latex). They are usually sold in sets to cover many resistance levels. The awesome thing about mini loop resistance bands is that you can add another band to your current level and make your workout more challenging and efficient.
Resistance Bands – Ankles
To stay with the resistance bands, there is also another type – resistance bands in a shape of number eight. You can easily train all three glute muscles with them and the manufacturers claim they should help you to get in shape in a month! These are perfect for all the butt and leg exercises that are done on all fours – donkey kicks, back leg lifts, hamstring curls, leg abductions and more!
Jump rope is a well-known yet very effective tool that will help you to tone up your body without leaving your home. And, as we all know, cardio is an important part of our fitness lives. Including cardio in your workout routine will help you to reach your goals faster.
